Beach
So it was a Friday morning and we were just laying in bed then we decided to go to the beach because well we had nothing else, so we packed a bag and away we went to Carolina Beach! It was so nice to get out and drive there and just relax and breathe the ocean air! There is something about going to a beach that is just so fun, even if you are laying on the beach and doing nothing. The town was also cute its always fun to see all the different shops! So heres a few snaps from the day last Friday. iPhone pics once again..
Baby Blessings and Goodbyes
So about a month ago we were able to attend our two cute nieces baby blessings. Yes twins, I don't know how my sister Breanna and her hubby do it. But they were both beautiful blessings and I am so glad they invited us to be apart of it. Olivia and Kennedy are seriously so stinking cute! I just love my little nieces so much!
On the other note this was also the weekend we had to say goodbye to my family, it was all bitter sweet, I hate having to say goodbye it is the hardest thing for me. My family and I are very close I would like to say, and I have gotten so used to seeing them almost every week when my parents would come down to go see Breanna's cute twins. Moving to North Carolina has been the hardest but will be the best thing for Jake and I! So of course I snapped a few pics of the day, but I'm so sad I never got one of the mom and dad with their cute girls! :( Also sorry the pics are not the best quality but you do what with you have right!

I stole this picture from Breanna but I had to show how cute they are!
We were also able to get to go to dinner one last time with Cameron and Alexa, who are seriously not just family but also some of our best friends. It's going to be pretty hard to find people who put up with us and I'm sad we won't have date night/hair nights for a long time!
Goodbyes are always so sad so its See You Soon...

Matern's Go East
Thats right, we are moving... Well we have moved, to where you might ask? To Durham North Carolina. Jake was accepted to Duke University in their PA program. They are the #1 ranked school for their program and we couldn't be more excited that he was accepted. This move has been somewhat stressful in the making, and still is stressful to think about. I am here posting about this in my in-laws house because we flew back for Jakes little sisters wedding. So we have had some crazy weeks here in the Matern household. I have lived no longer than a 3hr drive from my family and well Jake besides his mission and being in Orem for school it has been the longest of 45 min since we have been married and living in Bountiful we have been a short 5 min drive away so it is going to be a huge change for us to be a 34hr car ride or a 5hr plane ride away. Living in North Carolina will be some hard times but hopefully some amazing experiences and ones we won't forget. We love how pretty and green it is back there, but we have only spent a day there before we quickly flew back home to Utah for his little sisters wedding {which was amazing might I add}.
So I thought I would add a few pictures from our journey the past week. Sorry for the lack of quality, they are iPhone pictures and not the best of quality. Our drive was so long, but fun, lots of corn fields, the Gateway Arch, and more greenery. Loved seeing the country this way but oh my the drive was so long. Im glad we had good company to share it with...
