Easy {Chocolate} Cake

Did I hear {cake}, yes yes I did. Ok so I'm not a huge lover of cake but this cake will make everyone think differently of a good old chocolate cake! You ready? I am! People will think you spent a fortune on this cake or took forever making it but truth is it is sooo {simple}...

What you'll need:
{1} box of Chocolate Cake Mix (yes I said boxed cake mix, I told you it was easy!)
^^You will also need any ingredients that you need to make your cake but thats a given..^^
{1} 12 oz. package Semi Sweet chocolate chips
{1} C. Whipping Cream
{1} Bundt Pan (or any kind of cake

Mix together your ingredients for your chocolate cake, pour in you cake pan + bake.

Yumm.. Ok so once your cake is done baking let it cool on a wire rack until you can slice it into 3 layers without it breaking. {Ps. if you have a normal cake pan use that if you don't want to play the guessing game lining your cake up just right.} Also make sure to poke holes in your cake with a fork that way your chocolate mixture will just melt through the cake which = melting in your mouth! DELISH!

Once your cake is sliced + ready turn your stovetop on medium heat + in a pan pour in 1cup of whipping cream. This is really the most complicated it can get. Once your cream is just about boiling point, take it off the heat + add in 2 cups of chocolate chips and let it sit for about 1 minute. Once you have let it sit stir your chocolate + cream mixture together until it is silky smooth. I usually have the pan on the stove top now tuned off but just low-med heat so it will continue to melt.
Once your topping is smooth pour the chocolate mixture over the 1st bottom slice of your cake {do so slowly or it will run everywhere!} Once you have poured 1/3 of mixture on bottom slice of cake set your next layer on top of that + continue to pour + then do the last layer pouring the rest of mixture on top of cake.
Let it sit for at least an hour before serving that way chocolate has time to melt into the rest of the cake. My husband always says he likes it the day after. I like to set it in the fridge so it has time to set + get nice and cold. Your choice! Enjoy!

For you Chocolate lovers {beware} this is very addicting!

Sugar Cookies

Super Soft and Delicious Sugar Cookies
I {Love} sugar cookies, the buttercream frosting frosted on a nice soft cookie and add sprinkles it one of the best cookies out there! I love to bake and share my treats I make so I just wanted to share my recipe for everyone to enjoy. Its a pretty basic recipe but something about homemade cookies is just amazing...

Here is what you'll need:
1 cup room temp. butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
1 cup plain greek yogurt
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
5 1/2 cups flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar, then add your eggs and vanilla. After that is creamed mix in your greek yogurt. Once you have mixed together your ingredients add in salt, baking soda then gradually mix in the flour. Need the cookie dough on a floured surface and roll out to about 1/4in. This will make them thick and soft.

Once you have rolled out and cut the cookie dough to your likings then put them on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 7-8 minutes. NOTE: These cookies will not be golden and not look done this is how they STAY soft. The more golden they are when cooking in the oven the less soft they become. I have found that cooking them for about 7minutes and like 30 seconds give or take that makes them perfect.

Once they cookies have been transferred to be cooled you are ready to frost. My most favorite frosting is a buttercream frosting.
What you'll need:
1/2 cup butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4-1/3 cup milk
In a bowl, cream butter. Mix in the sugar and vanilla until completely mixed and crumbly. Slowly add milk until frosting reaches your desired consistency. Then if you want to add in food coloring to make it and color you'd like. And don't forget your sprinkles.

{Vuala} your cookies are done! Enjoy!
Note: With this recipe I made about 36 cookies if making for a big group or cookie lovers like myself i suggest doubling the recipe.
