Easy {Chocolate} Cake

Did I hear {cake}, yes yes I did. Ok so I'm not a huge lover of cake but this cake will make everyone think differently of a good old chocolate cake! You ready? I am! People will think you spent a fortune on this cake or took forever making it but truth is it is sooo {simple}...

What you'll need:
{1} box of Chocolate Cake Mix (yes I said boxed cake mix, I told you it was easy!)
^^You will also need any ingredients that you need to make your cake but thats a given..^^
{1} 12 oz. package Semi Sweet chocolate chips
{1} C. Whipping Cream
{1} Bundt Pan (or any kind of cake

Mix together your ingredients for your chocolate cake, pour in you cake pan + bake.

Yumm.. Ok so once your cake is done baking let it cool on a wire rack until you can slice it into 3 layers without it breaking. {Ps. if you have a normal cake pan use that if you don't want to play the guessing game lining your cake up just right.} Also make sure to poke holes in your cake with a fork that way your chocolate mixture will just melt through the cake which = melting in your mouth! DELISH!

Once your cake is sliced + ready turn your stovetop on medium heat + in a pan pour in 1cup of whipping cream. This is really the most complicated it can get. Once your cream is just about boiling point, take it off the heat + add in 2 cups of chocolate chips and let it sit for about 1 minute. Once you have let it sit stir your chocolate + cream mixture together until it is silky smooth. I usually have the pan on the stove top now tuned off but just low-med heat so it will continue to melt.
Once your topping is smooth pour the chocolate mixture over the 1st bottom slice of your cake {do so slowly or it will run everywhere!} Once you have poured 1/3 of mixture on bottom slice of cake set your next layer on top of that + continue to pour + then do the last layer pouring the rest of mixture on top of cake.
Let it sit for at least an hour before serving that way chocolate has time to melt into the rest of the cake. My husband always says he likes it the day after. I like to set it in the fridge so it has time to set + get nice and cold. Your choice! Enjoy!

For you Chocolate lovers {beware} this is very addicting!

Day Dreaming of New Projects to fill my house with....

So as I am sitting here looking at apartment listings for Glendale AZ, yes I did say that. Side note: Jake was accepted to the first TWO (thats right, my smarty pants) schools he interviewed with + both were in AZ. He accepted Midwestern's acceptance + so far this is where we will be ending up if we dont here from the other schools. We are still waiting to hear from Duke, Alabama + U of U. Side note over.

ANYWAYS, I love looking through + getting inspiration on what to possibly do with a smaller space, the kitchen, den, bedroom, etc... So as far as the den goes or work area however we call it, I've been trying to come up with ideas on getting the best workspace in small spaces. Right now our computer sits on a little side table that barely fits a book next to it so we would like to do something different + I have found a few ideas searching the web. Here are just a few:

could not find website that actually worked
I LOVE the color + the size of this, it can easily fit in any room almost.

This does not show space and size of this wood tabletop but I do love the great length on this + how even something simple can look so timeless at the same time.

Ok so I do like this idea if the space in your house just isn't there, take a closet add shelving to it + there you go! If the closet doors seem to make it small take them off + add in a curtain just to cover the space when needed for when you have company over.

Again so simple but a great use of a smaller space, I love the way white looks with everything + slight pop of color in there with the chair + flowers!

For sure one of my top favs, actually I am trying to find the tables to try + recreate this, perfect for a small space, corner or anywhere in your house + more than enough room to lay everything out that you need.

Ok so if any of you are looking for new ideas for new office space here you go. All of these are amazing + there are so many out there to choose from so go have fun redecorating or organizing your office space I know I will. Pictures will be posted once it is finished!

Making a list of all your projects is a great thing to do that way you will not get sidetracked from your goals. Here is my list:

reorganizing my den
picture wall in my kitchen/living room area
bedroom makeover
changing color scheme of living room and kitchen
kitchen organization
making new pillows for my couch
guest bathroom
2nd bedroom

see I have too many i feel like, but you need to start somewhere right!

Be My Valentine

A letter to my Valentine...
Would you {be} mine?
To my Valentine, I love you to the moon and back, a bushel and peck, a hug around the neck! This is our 3rd Valentines as a married couple and I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have you as all mine! You surprise me with my favorite chocolate strawberries and fun texts all day long. You love me in spite of all my down falls no matter how big or small, you see past the bad and love me for all that I am. I dont know how I got so lucky to call you mine, the day we met it changed our lives forever, the day we said {YES} we were sealed for time and {all} eternity! One day we will have a little family of our own who we will get to love and cherish as our own, teach them good from bad, and show them what family is all about, and most of all always be together for eternity. Jake only adventures await us in these next years to come, and I will be by your side good or bad every step of the way! Im grateful everyday for Heavenly Father putting you in my life, you are the biggest blessing in my life. I will always love you,"to infinity and beyond" :) Thank you for being my husband I love you so much! Happy Valentines Day!
Will you {be} mine?
